COP26: the challenge of the electric car in California

Gavin Newsom is an ambitious governor: he has set a goal for California that all new vehicles sold in 2035 are electric. Even if his State is at the forefront in this area, the efforts to be made are considerable, since the share of electric cars today represents only 10% of total sales.

Something to leave some observers skeptical, who point out that the cost to purchase, the lack of charging stations and the charging time represent three major brakes for consumers.

California, however, hopes that its start-ups will rise to the challenge. One of them is working on the development of batteries capable of recharging in just five minutes.
