PARIS- A photo has been circulating on social networks for several hours with the results of the Golden Ball 2021 poll, the official announcement of which is on the agenda on November 29 in Paris. If the authenticity of the shockingly escaped documentary were confirmed, the best footballer in the world this year would be the Polish striker Robert Lewandowski from Bayern Munich, the author of a record 41 goals in the last year of the highest German competition. He would thus become the first ever Pole with a prestigious individual award, the dpa agency reminded.

Lewandowski was the favorite for winning the Golden Ball of the French magazine France Football already for the year 2020, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, this survey did not take place last year. According to the photo, the second place was taken by the record six-time best footballer in the world, Lionel Messi, who led Argentina to the title at the South American Copa America Championship in the summer and later moved from FC Barcelona to Paris St. Germain.

The third place in the poll will allegedly be occupied by another offensive player, the French representative Karim Benzema from Real Madrid. Cristiano Ronaldo, who won the Golden Ball five times, finished in 9th place.
