The Prosecutor General’s Office rejects the claims of the special prosecutor Lipšica – SME.sk

BRATISLAVA. Prosecutor General ‘s Office criticizes the statement of the special prosecutor Daniela Lipšica to escaped recordings from a hunting lodge. He claims that it is contrary to reality and evokes a picture of selectivity in the procedures of the prosecutor’s office. The TASR opinion was provided by Prosecutor Prosecutor Dalibor Skladan.

Checking recordings

According to Lipšic, it is appropriate to check where the recordings came from. However, the General Prosecutor’s Office criticized the fact that it did not proceed in the same way when the implementation proposal concerning the suspicion of criminal activity of the inspection team leaked to the media. The Prosecutor General’s Office called it a misleading and manipulative statement, as action was to be taken immediately.

“The investigator of the Office of the Inspection Service has initiated criminal prosecution in the matter of criminal offenses of abuse of power by a public official and unauthorized handling of personal data, and the prosecutor of the Bratislava Regional Prosecutor’s Office supervises compliance with the law in preparatory proceedings in the criminal case,” Skladan said.

Influencing the prosecution

According to him, the Prosecutor General’s Office guarantees objectivity, impartiality and legality, and in the exercise of its powers it cannot be influenced by any interests or influences that could endanger them.

Attorney General Maroš Žilinka he had the leak of mediated videos, which are supposed to confirm the efforts of several people from the environment of politics, business and advocacy to influence the prosecution of the most serious criminal cases. An investigator from the National Criminal Agency from the Očistec team filed a criminal complaint in this regard.
