Covid today Bulgaria, the infections continue to run

Bulgaria continues to deal with the new wave of infections from Covid-19. The Guardian, which reports data from the National Coronavirus Information Portal, writes of 5,643 new coronavirus cases confirmed in the last 24 hours, bringing the number of active cases to 90,543, after 6,816 infections were reported yesterday, an all-time record. Today’s bulletin also points to 154 other deaths. Since the beginning of the pandemic there are 23,594 deaths attributable to Covid in the country with almost seven million inhabitants. The data reported by the Guardian also speak of another 902 hospitalizations, almost 90% of which concern unvaccinated patients. In Bulgaria, just over 2.8 million vaccine doses have been administered so far.
