The new King of Gaming Intel Core i9-12900K processor? It would seem – Cowcotland

A bit of Gaming with the Core i9-12900K, once again thanks Videocardz which releases a new official slide, this time about the In-Game performances of this model.

This model offers 8P and 8E, so 8 Golden Cove cores with HT and 8 Gracemont cores, so 24 Threads in total. The processor has 24 MB of L2 cache and 30 MB of L3 cache memory. For speeds, the 8P will run from 3.2 to 5.2 GHz and the 8E from 2.4 to 3.9 GHz. The base TDP is 125 watts and it is 241 watts in Turbo mode. The processor can accommodate DDR4 3200 or DDR5 4800 memory. The price of this model is 589 dollars.

And so, in Gaming, here is a very first slide which gives the 12900K far ahead of the 11900K, but also sometimes very much above the 5950X ofAMD.

So, if the 12900K would be behind the 5950X under Shadow fo the Tomb Raider, and equal in Crysis Remastered, after all the other titles, the 12900K would be 830% more efficient …

I can’t wait for the full tests.
