A first stripping reveals the guts of the MacBook Pro 16 “and the M1 Max chip – Forum

A first disassembly allows to appreciate the internal design of the new 16-inch MacBook Pro of Cupertino.

The leaker LOvetodream had barely received his 16-inch MacBook Pro with M1 Max chip that the latter was already on the worktop in order to explore its entrails. This first disassembly thus allows, over the course of some pictures published on Twitter, to see the efforts of engineers and a design reminiscent of the previous generation models.

We can see the two fans, the massive cooling system with its two heat pipes, a battery in six modules (which are not glued but held in place by adhesive tabs like those used in iPhones), as well as the two pairs of woofers forceful cancellation in the lower corners supported by the tweeters placed a little higher. This teardown is also the opportunity to see for the first time the imposing SoC M1 Max and its four memory modules.

IFixit’s black screwdriver belts shouldn’t be long in offering us further disassembly and analysis of the internals of the new MacBook Pro in 14 and 16 inches.
