Slovak super talent has the first place in the draft, says its coach – SlovakNHL.sk

A hopeful attacker Dalibor Dvorský plays in the highest junior league in Sweden, where he meets mostly three years older opponents. Nevertheless, he is its most productive player and is improving his prospects with NHL scouts.

The 16-year-old native of Zvolen scored 13 goals and 13 assists in the first 17 matches in the AIK jersey. The draft awaits him in 2023, and although the great world talents Connor Bedard and Matvej Mičkov will also go on to it, he could fight for the post of draft unit.

At least that’s what his coach from the Swedish club, compatriot Martin Dendis, thinks, who said for the daily Šport: “I think ‘Dali’ is on the right track. He is very motivated and has the potential to fight for the position of a possible draft unit for two years. “

Dvorský perceives the bustle around him, but with the help of his parents and Dendis, he tries to stay on the ground. He approaches hockey day after day and wants to focus only on his improvements.

“I got used to scouts coming to see me too. On the ice, however, I focus only on the game. I’ve heard various information about the draft, but I don’t think about it. Still, by the summer of 2023 it is still quite far away, “ said Dvorsky.

Currently, the closer goal is to get into the men’s team AIK, which plays in the second highest competition HockeyAllsvenskan. People from the management told him before the season that they would be watching him closely. He started for the first team already in preparation, but if he keeps a great shape, the door could also open for him in the competition duel.

“He did not even lose against the SHL team from Brynas. Nevertheless, when we have the youngest and at the same time most productive player in the junior competition, he asks for an invitation to the senior team. I think the chance will come, but he has to keep working. “ Dendis stated.

Dvorský is a native center, but among men a game of a wingman, which is a common practice for young people to make it easier to manage the transition to men. According to Dendis, however, there is also an effort to develop it so that nothing surprises him. The young man also admitted that his priority is to be a complex player.
