In the last 24 hours, another 40,954 covid infections and 263 deaths have been recorded in Great Britain (the latter figure however includes the deaths recorded in the last 72 hours in Wales). Yesterday there were 36,567 new infections and 38 deaths. And Tuesday of last week, respectively, 43,738 and 223.
