The event is scheduled for November 11-14 in Krefeld.

After Šimon Nemc and Juraj Slafkovský, Mešár is the third player of the year 2004 with a chance to show in the senior national team. At the age of 16, he played the last World Under-20 Championship in Canada. His two peers were subsequently given a place in the selection of coach Craig Ramsay in the April preparatory duels and at the World Championships in Riga.

Philip’s time has come

The 20-year-old goalkeeper Belányi was part of the first unofficial national team camp in April’s preparations for the World Championships in Riga. He could not arrive at a later official meeting due to the occurrence of COVID-19 in the family. Mudrák twice represented the Slovak Republic at the junior championship and developed into one of the defensive leaders of Michala’s Dukla.

Samuel Takáč, 30, will also make his national team debut. In the current season, with 16 points in 11 duels, he is one of the most productive extra-league forwards.. “Belányi and Mudrák are very young players who have potential. Dávid Mudrák was a mainstay of the national team under 20 in the past and moved smoothly to men’s hockey in Michalovce, where he gives stable performances. Filip Belányi has a future. He started catching as a unit in Banská Bystrica. , where he showed his potential. We want to give him the opportunity to show in at least one match. As for Samuel Takáč, in my opinion it is the best signature of Slavs this season.Although he is almost 30 years old, he gives excellent performances. We focus primarily on younger hockey players, but we don’t discriminate against anyone. Such performances deserved a national team invitation. ” said Satan.

The most important thing is that we can play again

The players will meet at the meeting on Monday, November 8 in Bratislava. After a two-day training cycle, they will fly to Krefeld, where they will compete against Switzerland, Russia’s Olympic team and home Germany.. “The most important thing is that we can play again. We always require players to play as a team, which is not easy when nominating a large group of newcomers who meet for a short time. But we have to fight hard and play fast. Then we will be able to to produce offensive hockey Our opponents have good teams All play physical hockey The Swiss can develop great speed, the Russians are always talented and skillful It will be difficult but we want to see our team play with confidence and enthusiasm We want it to show that it is ready to play at a high level, “ said coach Craig Ramsay.

The management of the national team has already announced in advance that the leaders of the August selection, who completed a successful Olympic qualification for the 2022 Olympic Games in Beijing, will not perform at the German Cup. The tournament will serve as an opportunity for new faces to win a place in the squad.

We want to see our team play with confidence and enthusiasm

The most experienced player in the selection is the defender of Pilsen Peter Čerešňák, who already has 83 starts and eight goals in Áčka, followed by the attackers Michal Krištof (45/6) and Marko Daňo (39/6). “Of course we know the players we saw at the qualification and at the World Cup in May. We didn’t want to take them to this tournament and we wanted to look for some new names and give a chance to the players who are somewhere on the periphery. these players have shown whether they can be national team leaders and can fight for an Olympic seat, ” stated Satan for hockeyslovakia.sk.

“We try to give the boys a chance and we want everyone to understand that we still don’t rely on the same players all the time and I don’t want to do that. In this case we needed to try a few young players, call more experienced ones and create a good mix of teammates from which we can to create a team that will have speed and fight hard, “ added Ramsay.
