Covid today Russia, 1,106 deaths: record bulletin

Russia continues to record record numbers of deaths attributable to Covid infections. Today there are 1,106 deaths registered in the last 24 hours, the most dramatic bulletin since the beginning of the pandemic, according to official data reported by the Tass agency which also speak of 36,446 new confirmed cases, 6,074 of which in Moscow, and a total of 869,660 active cases. Yesterday 37,930 infections and 1,069 deaths were reported. Since the start of the pandemic, Russia has confirmed more than 8.3 million cases of Covid-19 with 232,775 deaths. From Thursday Moscow will enter a partial lockdown in an attempt to stem the spread of the coronavirus and, as the mayor announced in recent days, only essential services will remain open. And yesterday President Vladimir Putin introduced new measures to contain infections and promote the vaccination campaign that never really took off. From Saturday the working activities will stop for a week.
