Italy closes the Track Cycling World Championships with Elia Viviani’s gold medal in pursuit. Silver medal for the Portuguese Leitao and bronze medal for Russia with Rostovtsev. Fantastic performance of the Veronese, 2016 Olympian, and bronze in the Omnium in this edition, who won the first world title of his career on the track. In the Elimination in the last race of the World Championships on track in the Jean Stablinski velodrome in Roubaix, Viviani beats the Portuguese Leitao in the last sprint.
