A kick in the head of the referee and the player is arrested for attempted murder. William Ribeiro, Brazilian player of San Paolo-RS, William Ribeiro, was arrested after attacking referee Rodrigo Crivellaro on the pitch. The footballer hit the referee by kicking him in the head during a match valid for the A2 series of the Rio Grande do Sul state championship. After the game was suspended, the player was arrested and taken to the police station on charges of attempted murder. The episode took place at 15 ‘of the second half, with the Guarani de Venancio Aires team leading 1-0. Ribeiro, cautioned, pushed the referee to the ground and then hit him hard on the head. The race director was left unconscious on the ground before being rushed to hospital. The San Paolo-RS then announced that they will terminate the contract with Ribeiro.
