Cowes Torquay Cowes powerboating, Tommy Racing in second place overall

At Cowes Torquay Cowes, one of the most spectacular offshore powerboat races in Great Britain, the pilots Maurizio Schepici, Giampaolo Montavoci and Fabio Magnani, of the Tommy Racing team, finished in second place overall and won the trophy as the fastest diesel boat . The only Italian crew out of 36 participants in the sixtieth international edition of the Cowes Torquay Cowes, with the Tommy One boat they took the time of 2:29 on a journey of 200 miles on the open sea with an average of 88.13 knots. Winning the competition was the Silverline boat with the British Drew Langdon and Miles Jennings. Maurizio Schepici commented: “It was a tough race, given the unfortunate previous participations for which, for various reasons, we did not cross the finish line. This year we decided to do a more conservative race in pursuit of the fastest and, after a grueling run-up, we managed to secure the second overall position ”.
