F1, US GP: Sainz’s Ferrari on pole ahead of Leclerc and Verstappen

Carlos Sainz’s Ferrari took pole position in the F1 United States Grand Prix in Austin Texas. The Spaniard finished with a time of 1.34.356 ahead of Charles Leclerc’s other red in 1.34.421, who will however be penalized by 10 positions. Third time for the Red Bull of world champion Max Verstappen in 1.34.448. Fourth time in qualifying for Sergio Perez’s other Red Bull, however penalized by five places. Fifth is Lewis Hamilton’s Mercedes, which should therefore start from third position behind Sainz and Verstappen and ahead of teammate George Russell.
