Lazio-Feyenoord, Rome prefect bans ticket sales to Dutch fans

The sale of tickets to Dutch fans for the Uefa Cup Lazio-Feyenoord, scheduled for Thursday 8 September in the capital, is prohibited. This was decided by the prefect of Rome, Matteo Piantedosi, to “preserve the city from possible unrest”. The Feyenoord fans are recognized as one of the most aggressive in Europe and are known for the serious disturbances to public order caused away: it was the ultras of the Dutch team who, in 2015, shortly before the match against Roma, damaged the Barcaccia fountain, in Piazza di Spagna.
