This is how Luca Alessandrini, president of Asd Sportinsieme Roma, explained Padel Mixto, an event that saw couples made up of a standing player (able-bodied) and one sitting in a wheelchair (with disabilities) challenged by the Asd Sportinsieme Roma and Msp Italia (padel sector) and supported by the Entain Foundation. The competitions took place on 9 July at Padelmania in Pescara, as part of the finals of the Msp padel club cup. “I think that the strength of padel is the fact that it is immediate, fun and above all aggregating, where many people play together without knowing each other – said Luca Facchetti, former footballer and now padel instructor – with Padel Mixto many people with disabilities have the opportunity to play, given that in Italy there are still no associations and structures that allow it “.
