Italian Moto Cup accident, rider dead at Mugello

A rider, who was participating in free practice in view of the Italian Cup races scheduled for the weekend at the Mugello circuit, died of injuries sustained in an accident on the track. The accident occurred around 11 this morning and also involved another driver. The conditions of the two motorcyclists immediately appeared serious. The staff of the medical center of the Tuscan circuit, promptly intervened to help them, managed to stabilize their conditions before being transferred to the nearby Florentine hospital of Careggi. The more serious of the two was transported by air ambulance. Unfortunately the latter, announced the Autodrome, died after a few hours in hospital.
