Motonautica, Barlesi and Barone win Race 1 in Rodi Garganico

The engines of the 3D / 5000 Class Offshore World Championship in Rodi Garganico, the only Italian stage of the competition for the 5 competing boats from Norway, Belgium, Holland, France and Italy. Race 1 saw the success of the Assicurazioni Generali boat, led by the crew of Serafino Barlesi and Alessandro Barone. In second position the French Expace Power of Fracois Pinelli and Roberto Lo Piano, third placement for Sabbie di Parma of the couple Lorenzo and Andrea Bacchi. Retirement due to the breakage of the transmission axis of one of the two engines for Kristian Ghedina – on his debut in powerboating – who together with Giampaolo Montavoci, aboard the “Marco” catamaran, maintained the third position for more than half the race.
