Sinner triumphs in Washington, beat McDonald in the final

Jannik Sinner beats the American Mackenzie McDonald in the final of the tournament in Washington, at the age of only 19 wins the third title in his career and rises to number 15 in the world, his best ranking. The South Tyrolean won after a battle of almost three hours with a score of 7-5, 4-6, 7-5, thus becoming the youngest winner of an ATP 500 tournament. For Sinner it is the third title in his career out of four. finals played, the second this season after the one won at the ATP 250 in Melbourne in February (the first of his career he had won in Sofia at the end of 2020).
