Zlatab Ibrahimovic underwent knee surgery. The 40-year-old AC Milan striker will remain stationary for 7-8 months, as the AC Milan club announced. “AC Milan announces that today, Zlatan Ibrahimović was operated on his left knee by Dr Bertrand Sonnery-Cottet, in the presence of the Club Health Manager Stefano Mazzoni, at the Hôpital Jean Mermoz in Lyon”, the club said. “Arthroscopy had long been planned to definitively resolve the instability of the joint through reconstruction of the anterior cruciate ligament, with lateral reinforcement and meniscal repair. The operation is perfectly successful and the prognosis is estimated in 7-8 months”, adds the statement from the Rossoneri club. Ibrahimovic, who will turn 41 in October, had not resolved his doubts about his future after winning the Scudetto on Sunday: the Swede had not expressed himself definitively on the continuation of his career or on retirement.
