Tokyo 2020, 27 new cases of Covid linked to the Games

Olympics organizers recorded 27 new Tokyo Games related coronavirus cases in their daily report. It is the highest daily increase in Games-related cases since organizers began reporting cases on July 1. 24 cases were reported on Thursday. Three athletes were affected by Covid, including American pole vault Sam Kendricks. The other two athletes were not identified. The latest numbers bring the total of positive tests linked to the Olympics to 220.
