Tokyo 2020, ceremony tomorrow: boom in covid infections in the city

Record of coronavirus infections today in Tokyo, Japan. On the eve of the opening of the Olympics, there was the highest number of new covid cases in the last six months. This is an increase of over 600 infections compared to last week and 147 cases compared to yesterday. Of the new cases, eleven involve athletes who came to Tokyo to participate in the Olympics.
