Dead Freddy Rincon, former Napoli player had had an accident

Freddy Rincon is dead. The 55-year-old former Napoli player died following the road accident on 11 April in Cali, when the car in which he was traveling collided with a bus. The death was confirmed by the Imbanaco Clinic where he had been hospitalized and subjected to surgery: his condition immediately appeared desperate. “Despite all the efforts of our medical staff, Freddy Eusebio Rincon Valencia has passed away,” announced Dr. Laureano Quintero. In his long career Rincon, of Colombian origin, played for Atlético Buenaventura, Independiente Santa Fe, América de Cali, in Palmeiras, in Napoli, in Real Madrid, and then between Corinthians, Santos and Cruzeiro. At Napoli, in 1994/95 he played 28 games and scored 7 goals. With the Colombian national team Rincon played three consecutive World Cups playing a total of 84 games.
