The French police have arrested the spectator responsible for the disastrous maxi fall in the first stage of the Tour de France (video). The woman, who according to local media is a French national, is accused of deliberately putting public safety at risk. On Saturday, in the first stage of the 2021 Tour, from Brest to Landerneau, 45 kilometers from the finish, the spectator who has now been arrested had leaned a little too far on the road to show a sign when the group passed. The German Tony Martin, fully taken by the cartel, fell creating a domino effect that dragged many riders in the group with him. The woman had then left the scene immediately after the fall.
