Of the 32 thousand positives recorded between 11 and 28 June, 1,991 are fans: of these, 1,294 had been away to London Euro 2020 and covid infections in Scotland: almost 2,000 cases related to European competition According to the Scottish Department of Public Health, in fact, of the 32,000 Scottish citizens who tested positive for the coronavirus between 11 and 28 June, 1,991 participated in at least one event linked to the European Championships, whether it was a match in Hampden Park or Wembley, an event in the fan zone in Glasgow Green, or an informal meeting in a bar or an evening in a private home to watch the game. Almost 2/3 of these cases, 1,294, concern people who were in London on 18 June, the date of the match of the day stage against England; of these, 397 were seated in the stands at Wembley. Due to health restrictions, only 2,600 tickets were awarded to Scottish fans, which did not stop several thousand fans from invading the English capital to experience the event up close.
