On Saturday the cyclists of the three most demanding routes will be on stage: the long route of 209 km, the heroic one par excellence, the Crete Senesi route of 135 km, the Val d’Arbia route of 106 km. These are the pitch black routes of Gaiole in Chianti and Castello di Brolio until dawn which rises over the city of Siena which once again will be the protagonist of the trip. On Sunday there will be the Black Rooster route of 81 km and the Valle del Chianti route of 46 km; are the circumscribed routes in Chianti, to be tackled in any case with a good basic training.To participate in L’Eroica it is a must to have a steel bicycle built before 1987 with three basic characteristics: external brake wires, tube change oblique, free pedals or with cages.
