Tour of the Olympic stadium inaugurated, an ‘experiential and emotional journey’

An experiential and highly emotional journey through the use of innovative and cutting-edge technologies. This is the Tour of the Olympic Stadium in Rome inaugurated today in the presence of the Undersecretary for Sport Valentina Vezzali, the Undersecretary for Education Rossano Sasso, the president of the FIGC, Gabriele Gravina, the president and CEO of Sport and Health Vito Cozzoli, the number one of Lazio Claudio Lotito and the new CFO of Rome Maurizio Lombardo. A highly significant journey in the symbolic place of Italian football entirely bilingual (Italian-English), the tour of the Olympic Stadium is a new generation project carried out by Sport e Salute in collaboration with AS Roma SpA, SS Lazio SpA and the Italian Football Federation , which through the combination of the great history of the most important Italian sports facility and a strong emotional charge, allows visitors to live a direct and memorable experience, thanks to the use of innovative multimedia technologies. A journey that starts from a glorious past, represented by the greatest events such as the Olympics of 60, the Europeans and the World Championships in Athletics (respectively 1974 and 1987), the World Cup 90, the AS Roma and SS championships. Lazio and comes to the present with the sporting and non-sporting events that have characterized the last twenty years and the future such as the European Athletics Championships 2024. A great project aimed at opening the doors of the Olympic Stadium, for the benefit of the entire community and fans, and concrete signal of restart of the sports world.The route includes a visit to places hitherto inaccessible such as the path of legends where the protagonists wrote the history of the plant (Francesco Totti, Giorgio Chinaglia, Usain Bolt, Vasco Rossi and Roger Waters), the mixed zone, the changing rooms, the trophy room, be a hero, the playing field, the stands, ending with the stadium store where you can buy a souvenir and the signature restaurant bistro to Antonello Colonna. The opening to the public is scheduled from 15 November 2021 from 10 am to 6 pm, excluding the days in which there are matches. The cost will be 15 euros plus presale but there are discounts for families, groups and schools. “I want to thank the President of Sport and Health, Vito Cozzoli, for the realization of this initiative, which allows the world of sport and in particular of football to meet the emotional needs of fans”, said Gabriele Gravina, President of Figc, during the inauguration of the Tour. “It is a day we have been waiting for a long time, it has finally arrived”, echoed Vito Cozzoli, president of Sport e Salute, during the inauguration ceremony. “When I took office we were in the midst of the pandemic and sport was at a standstill, everything slowed down this path”, explained Cozzoli, “but we have always made the Olympic Stadium and more generally the Forum area available for each event. The undersecretary for sport, Valentina Vezzali, explained that “this Tour is a further step to encourage sports in Italy. I am thinking, for example, of the fourth and fifth grade children who from next year will have an exercise science teacher, a rule that we have managed to include in the budget law and which represents a great turning point ” . In this regard, underlined the Undersecretary for Education, Rossano Sasso, who will speak “immediately with the technicians to prepare a circular addressed to schools, including the tour as part of the educational visits”.
