Covid today Sicily, 286 infections and 7 deaths. Boom of new cases in Catania

There are 286 new infections from Coronavirus today 21 October in Sicily, according to Covid-19 data in the latest bulletin of the Region. Since yesterday, 7 deaths have been recorded.
In the last 24 hours, 14,619 swabs were processed on the island with a positivity rate of 1.8%. The current positives are 6,682 with a decrease of 124 cases. The healed are 403 since yesterday. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 6,967 people have died in the Region. On the hospital front, 314 are now hospitalized, 2 more than yesterday, while in intensive care they are 48 one less than yesterday. On the contagion front in the individual provinces Palermo with 42 cases, Catania 116, Messina 10, Syracuse 46, Ragusa 7, Trapani 4, Caltanissetta 6, Agrigento 25 and Enna 30.
