Two red zones established in Calabria for the purpose of containing the spread of Covid. The President of the Region, Nino Spirlì, has signed an order to declare the municipalities of Scandale and Savelli, in the province of Crotone, a ‘red zone’. The ‘red zone’ will remain in effect from 10pm on 20 October and until 30 October. The ordinance starts from two notes with which, in the first case, the Prevention Department of the Crotone ASP communicated on October 18 last year that in the municipality of Scandale “there is a critical situation in terms of spread of the contagion from Sars-CoV-2, with a number of cases in the last 7 days equal to 22 and a further 9 subjects already positive to the rapid antigen test, with an incidence higher than the alert values ​​in relation to the resident population and a possible outbreak in expansion in relation to the potential number of close contacts of the index case “. In the second case, the same Department communicated that in the municipality of Savelli” there is a critical situation in terms of spread of the infection “with” a number of active cases in the last 14 days equal to 24 of which approximately 62% registered in the last 7 days, with an incidence higher than the alert values ​​in relation to the resident population “. Hence the decision to establish the ‘red zone’ for “the purpose of containing the spread of the virus”.
