Cucchi, judges Appeal: “Unjustified and disproportionate beating”

An “unjustified and disproportionate” aggression. This is what the judges of the Court of Assizes of Appeal of Rome write in the reasons for the sentence of last May 7 at the trial for the death of Stefano Cucchi, condemning, among others, the two carabinieri Alessio Di Bernardo and Raffaele D’Alessandro accused of beating the 31-year-old Roman, arrested on 15 October 2009 and who died seven days later at the Sandro Pertini hospital.
