Luana D’Orazio, investigations closed for the 22-year-old’s death

The investigations by the Prato prosecutor on the death of Luana D’Orazio closed. The 22-year-old from Pistoia, mother of a 5-year-old child, died in the textile company of Montemurlo in the province of Prato ‘Orditura Luana’ on May 3rd. For the death of the worker, dragged and crushed by a warping machine, the owner of the company, Luana Coppini, her husband Daniele Faggi, considered the de facto administrator, and the maintenance technician Mario Cusimano are investigated. For all three of the hypothesized crimes are manslaughter and removal or willful omission of precautions against accidents at work. Notice of completion of the investigation was served today. In the coming weeks, the Prosecutor’s Office will formulate the request for indictment.
