Rome, Iron Bridge fire: pots and chairs seized in bed

The tape of the carabinieri, who seized the makeshift bed under the burnt iron bridge during the night, delimits a small area immediately above the river and under steep stairs abandoned for some time to neglect. Here, where the electricity pipes that serve as many as 14 cabins have collapsed like ropes in the heat of the flames, there are pots, chairs, a bowl full of water incredibly escaped from the stake, an ice cream fridge along with drying racks, shoes and old networks. What remains of yet another illegal camp on the edge of the Tiber, where perhaps someone could have lit a stove to cook or perhaps to warm up. (by Silvia Mancinelli)
