Covid today Veneto, 472 infections: September 30th bulletin

There are 472 coronavirus infections in Veneto today, 30 September 2021, according to the numbers of the region’s bulletin. There are another 2 deaths. The new cases were identified on 45,630 swabs, the positivity rate is around 1%. “We remain the white zone, the Rt index is 0.86. The employment of intensive care is at 5%, the occupation of the medical area is at 3%,” said Governor Luca Zaia. There are 279 covid patients hospitalized (-12 compared to yesterday). In detail, 229 are in the non-critical area and 50 are in intensive care. “80% of people admitted to intensive care are not vaccinated. In the other wards, 65% are unvaccinated,” says Zaia. “On the vaccinated who are hospitalized, we should see if there has been antibody response. In general, the important symptoms mainly concern the unvaccinated. The vaccinated in intensive care, then, often have a very particular clinical history”.
