There are 40 new coronavirus infections today May 25 in Abruzzo, according to data from the latest bulletin. There are two other deaths. In detail, there are a total of 73744 positive cases of Covid-19 registered in Abruzzo since the beginning of the emergency. Compared to yesterday there are 40 new cases (aged between 3 and 74 years). The total of the cases includes 18 cases of the Asl Avezzano-Sulmona-L’Aquila referring to the period 14-22 May and communicated only today for a computer outage. This was communicated by the Regional Health Department. There are 13 positives under the age of 19, of which 7 resident in the province of L’Aquila, 2 in the province of Pescara and 4 in the province of Teramo. The death toll of patients records 2 cases and rises to 2471: it is a 93 year old from the province of L’Aquila and an 87 year old from the province of Chieti; this last death occurred in recent days and was communicated today by the local health authority. The number of positive cases also includes 65449 discharged / healed (+122 compared to yesterday). The currently positives in Abruzzo (calculated by subtracting the number of discharged / recovered and deceased from the total of positives) are 5824 (-84 compared to yesterday). Since the beginning of the emergency, a total of 1,098,018 molecular swabs have been performed (+4095 compared to yesterday) and 455,421 antigen tests (+1732 compared to yesterday). The positivity rate, calculated on the sum of molecular swabs and antigen tests of the day, is equal to 0.7 percent. 176 patients (-7 compared to yesterday) are hospitalized in non-intensive care; 17 (unchanged compared to yesterday with 0 new entries) in intensive care, while the other 5631 (-77 compared to yesterday) are in home isolation with active surveillance by the ASL.
