Palermo, elderly man found dead at home: son arrested

A 31-year-old with psychiatric pathologies, residing in Santa Flavia, in the Palermo area, was arrested by the carabinieri in execution of the precautionary custody order issued by the investigating judge of Termini Imerese. He is accused of the murder of his 72-year-old father. Last Saturday, 118 personnel, who intervened at the request of the man in the house where father and son lived, found the lifeless body of the elderly man, who probably died in sleep from suffocation. The doctors requested the intervention of the carabinieri who, at the end of the inspection operations and the technical surveys carried out by the Operational Section of the Bagheria Company, informed the Prosecutor of Termini Imerese. “The evidence gathered against the young man led to the issue of the precautionary measure by the judge”, now explain the investigators of the Arma. The 31-year-old, accused of aggravated murder, is now in Termini Imerese prison.
