Vaccini Italia, Gimbe: “Stocks almost exhausted”

“We have almost run out of vaccine stocks. With deliveries we are around 2.9 million doses per week, so the famous vaccine invasion is not there at the moment.” Thus Nino Cartabellotta, president of the Gimbe Foundation, to the microphones of ‘L’Italia s’è desta’, on Radio Cusano Campus. As for the problem of who refuses the vaccine, “this – says Cartabellotta – could be the future problem regarding the vaccination campaign. There is still a percentage of elderly people who are not vaccinated. We need to think of integrative solutions, not only with voluntary membership, but also with the active call, so you will know even if those who do not get vaccinated are unable or unwilling “. “The obligation to vaccinate – he underlines – I do not know if it is in line with the Constitution, and it is still difficult to link it to a specific objective. At the time of the Lorenzin decree, the obligation was linked to school attendance. It could give some more advantages to the vaccinated, the strategies may be different, but we need to think about it now. The green pass – he concludes – is an inevitable solution to what are a series of critical issues. We are waiting for a series of further details. “I am also surprised, especially at the collapse accelerated number of hospitalized patients with symptoms and in intensive care. This is the effect of vaccines, of the fact that we have protected all the elderly “, said Cartabellotta, president of the Gimbe Foundation, to the microphones of ‘L’Italia s’è desta’, on Radio Cusano Campus.” Reasoned risk strategy is working, because – underlined Cartabellotta – reopening is gradual and the vaccination campaign is progressively accelerating, with good adherence of the population to prevention measures “.
