There are 271 coronavirus infections in Piedmont today, May 23, according to data from the region’s bulletin. Since yesterday, another 2 deaths have been recorded. The new cases of people who tested positive for Covid-19 (of which 5 after antigen tests) are equal to 2.4% of 11,189 swabs performed, of which 5,359 antigenic. Of the 271 new infections, 129 are asymptomatic (47.6%). There are 108 people admitted to intensive care (+3 compared to yesterday). There are 861 hospitalized patients not in intensive care (-32 compared to yesterday). There are 6959 people in home isolation. There are 2 deaths of people positive for the Covid-19 test reported by the Crisis Unit of the Piedmont Region, none of which occurred today (please note that the cumulative updated data communicated daily also includes deaths occurred in the previous days and only subsequently ascertained as Covid deaths). The total is now 11,579 deaths tested positive for the virus.
