Intense phase of bad weather arriving on Italy starting tomorrow, Friday 10 September. Andrea Garbinato, editor of the site www.iLMeteo.it informs that the weather is expected to deteriorate sharply on Sardinia which will be reached by very heavy rainfall and in the form of thunderstorms. Given the decidedly dry period that crossed the island, flash floods cannot be excluded as the ground could have a hard time absorbing the expected rainfall. Pay particular attention to the province of Sassari. On Saturday the wave of bad weather will move towards the South, first hitting southern Campania and then Sicily, Calabria, Basilicata and Puglia. Even in these regions there may be storms and sudden flooding. Things will go much better on the rest of Italy where the high pressure present there will continue to bring the September summer with warm and pleasant temperatures. In the Center-North the sun will prevail apart from Saturday where the cloudiness will be much more widespread. IN DETAIL Thursday 9. In the north: many clouds in the Northwest, all sun elsewhere. Center: unstable over Sardinia and the Abruzzo Apennines. In the south: sometimes unstable with thunderstorms scattered above all on the Ionian areas. Friday 10. In the north: mostly sunny. Middle: intense deterioration in Sardinia, possible storms. South: unstable in central-southern Calabria and central-northern Sicily. Saturday 11. In the north: sometimes very cloudy or locally overcast in the Northeast. In the center: it improves in Sardinia, many clouds elsewhere. In the south: bad weather at times intense in many regions, less in Campania. Sunday, last thunderstorms in the south, lots of sun elsewhere.
