Covid today Emilia Romagna, 546 infections: 30 August bulletin

There are 546 coronavirus infections in Emilia Romagna today, 30 August 2021, according to data from the region’s bulletin. Recorded 7 more deaths. The new cases were identified out of a total of 12,167 swabs performed in the last 24 hours. The percentage of new positives on the number of swabs made since yesterday is 4.5%, a value that is not indicative of the general trend given the number of swabs made, which on Sunday is lower than on other days. Furthermore, on holidays, especially the molecular ones, are made primarily on cases for which a positive result is often expected. There are 49 patients admitted to intensive care (+1 compared to yesterday), 420 those in the other Covid departments (+10). Control and prevention activities continue: of the 546 newly infected, 204 are asymptomatic identified as part of the activities contact tracing and regional screening. Overall, of the new positives 204 were already in isolation at the time of the swab execution, 221 were identified within already known foci. The average age of the new positives today is 36.6 years. As for the total people healed, they are 444 more than yesterday and reach 381,967. The active cases, that is the actual patients, to date are 16,109 (+95 compared to yesterday). Of these, people in isolation at home, or those with mild symptoms that do not require hospital treatment or are symptom-free, are overall 15,640 (+84), 97.1% of the total number of active cases.
