Catanzaro, a 20-year-old girl attacked and killed by a pack of dogs

A 20-year-old girl was attacked and killed by a pack of dogs in the greenhouse area of ​​Catanzaro. The young woman was in the company of a friend and together they were making an inspection in a picnic area which is located in an inaccessible place to reach, where they wanted to organize a picnic in the next few days. In the distance the two boys saw a flock of sheep approaching followed by some Maremma shepherds. The boy frightened by dogs immediately walked away hiding behind a gazebo while the girl started playing with the dogs. Shortly after, the young woman realized that the dogs were dangerous and she too tried to escape but she was bitten by the animals and immediately attacked by at least ten dogs that suddenly appeared. The 20-year-old died while the boy, who managed to save himself, is in a state of shock. The young man immediately called for help but it took him a while to reach the inaccessible area. The first to arrive on site were the Satriano traffic police who had to shoot several gunshots into the air to remove the dogs, who were also pouncing on them. The carabinieri of the Soverato company also arrived on the spot, investigating the case. An autopsy will be performed on the young woman’s body. Tomorrow morning the Soverato carabinieri will carry out an inspection in the area where the young woman was attacked to track down the animals and carry out a series of investigations. First of all, the military will have to check if the dogs have cheap that can lead to any owners and if the flock was legitimately in that area.
