Covid today Piedmont, 305 infections and 2 deaths: August 26 bulletin

There are 305 new coronavirus infections in Piedmont according to today’s bulletin, August 26. Also recorded 2 other deaths. The new cases are equal to 1.9% of 16,192 swabs performed, of which 11,093 antigenic. Of the 305 new cases, 100 (32.8%) were asymptomatic. The cases are divided as follows: 30 screenings, 182 case contacts, 93 with ongoing investigation; 2 Rsa / Social-welfare structures. Cases imported: 6 (of which 4 from abroad). The total of positive cases thus becomes 375,495 divided as follows on a provincial basis: 30,622 Alessandria, 17,739 Asti, 11,815 Biella, 54,066 Cuneo, 29,259 Novara, 200,354 Turin, 14,037 Vercelli, 13,422 Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, as well as 1,547 residents outside the region, but in charge of Piedmontese health facilities. The remaining 2,634 are under development and territorial allocation. There are 10 hospitalized patients in intensive care (- 1 compared to yesterday). Patients not in intensive care are 142 (+ 5 compared to yesterday). There are 3435 people in home isolation. The diagnostic swabs processed so far are 6,328,938 (+ 16,192 compared to yesterday), of which 1,995,794 tested negative. Two deaths of people positive for the Covid-19 test (none today) are been communicated by the Crisis Unit of the Piedmont Region. The total is therefore 11,713 deceased who tested positive for the virus, divided as follows by province: 1,569 Alessandria, 713 Asti, 433 Biella, 1,454 Cuneo, 945 Novara, 5,597 Turin, 528 Vercelli, 374 Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, in addition to 100 residents outside the region but died in Piedmont. 360,195 patients recovered (+ 175 compared to yesterday), divided as follows on a provincial basis: 28,734 Alessandria, 16,935 Asti, 11,228 Biella, 52,168 Cuneo, 28,047 Novara, 192,896 Turin, 13,375 Vercelli, 12,913 Verbano-Cusio -Ossola, in addition to 1,453 extra-regions and 2,446 in the definition phase.
