Yellow zone, “Sicily and Sardinia beyond the parameters”

Sicily and Sardinia increasingly at risk of the yellow zone and, consequently, towards stricter rules and restrictions related to color change. If at the national level the occupancy rate of intensive care and non-critical care departments by Covid patients remains stable (at 6 and 7% respectively), these indicators continue to move in some Regions that have been hovering over the years. maximum thresholds envisaged by the new parameters for passing into the yellow zone. This is the picture that emerges from the data of the Agency for Regional Health Services (Agenas) updated at 19.03 today. Sicily rises by one percentage point and reaches 20% of the occupancy of beds in non-critical areas, while it remains for the second day at 11% of occupancy in intensive care. Both data exceed the maximum thresholds of 15% for ordinary hospitalizations and 10% for intensive care. Sardinia also rises, but under the heading of intensive therapies: the occupation of these departments increases by one percentage point reaching 12%, therefore above the 10% threshold envisaged for the passage of color. While the employment of non-critical area departments remains stable at 14% (just below the maximum threshold).
