Narcos Mauriello, one of the most dangerous fugitives, arrested in Dubai

The drug trafficker Raffaele Mauriello, 32, considered among the most dangerous fugitives by the Central Directorate of the Criminal Police, was arrested in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, last August 14. The arrest took place as part of investigations coordinated by the Naples Public Prosecutor’s Office and conducted by the Mobile Squad of the Naples Police Headquarters, with the support of the Central Operational Service of the State Police. The arrest carried out by the Dubai Police concretizes the efforts of an intense international judicial and police cooperation activity carried out by the Ministry of Justice, by the International Police Cooperation Service, through the Interpol and Europol agencies. Three precautionary measures are pending against Mauriello issued at the request of the Naples Anti-Mafia District Directorate for murder, a mafia-type association aimed at drug trafficking. A fugitive since September 2018, Raffaele Mauriello is called to answer for the double murder of Andrea Castello and Antonio Ruggiero, both of which occurred in Casandrino (Naples) in 2014, as well as that of Fabio Cafasso, which took place in 2011 in the Scampia district of Naples, all of which took place in ‘scope of the’ third Scampia feud ‘. Mauriello is also believed to belong to the Camorra-style criminal organization “Amato-Pagano”.
