There are 1,171 new coronavirus infections in Puglia according to data from today’s bulletin, May 5. There are another 12 deaths. In the region, where some cases of the Indian variant have been identified, the new positives are on the rise. In the last 24 hours, 12,351 swabs were processed. Yesterday out of 13,803 swabs, 1,028 infections had emerged. The total of positive Covid cases in Puglia since the beginning of the emergency is 239,315 divided as follows: 91,529 in the province of Bari; 23,705 in the province of Bat; 18,054 in the province of Brindisi; 43,116 in the province of Foggia; 24,140 in the province of Lecce; 37,631 in the province of Taranto; 771 attributed to residents outside the region; 369 province of residence not known.
