Covid today Italy, Lopalco: “Daily Bulletin no longer makes sense”

“I agree that disclosing the Covid daily bulletin of deaths makes little sense. Surveillance of the virus still needs to continue accurately. A good alternative could be just publishing a weekly bulletin of all data.” This was told by the epidemiologist Pier Luigi Lopalco, professor of Hygiene at the University of Salento, commenting on the appeal of Francesco Vaia, director of the Lazzaro Spallanzani National Institute who invites us to suspend the daily bulletin of deaths, underlining that in this there are currently “absolutely no red flags” for the pandemic.
