Covid today Sicily, 1,508 infections and 12 deaths: August 20 bulletin

There are 1,508 coronavirus infections in Sicily today, 20 August 2021, according to data from the region’s bulletin. The new cases were identified on 17,543 swabs processed in the last 24 hours on the island, where the current positives are 21,265. The data is contained in the daily bulletin of the Ministry of Health, from which it emerges that in a single day the healed were 933, while 12 deaths are reported, even if, the Sicilian Region specifies, only one is relative to today, while 8 are yesterday, 3 on 18 August and one on 16 August. Of the current positives, 663 patients are hospitalized with symptoms, while 83 patients are in intensive care. This is the breakdown of the new cases on a provincial basis: 231 in Palermo, 411 in Catania, 128 in Messina, 144 in Ragusa, 101 in Trapani, 148 in Syracuse, 135 in Caltanissetta, 147 in Agrigento and 63 in Enna.
