Covid Emilia Romagna today, 576 infections and 3 deaths: August 19th bulletin

There are 576 new infections from Covid recorded in Emilia-Romagna, out of a total of 21,821 swabs performed in the last 24 hours. This was reported in the bulletin of the Region released today, 19 August. The percentage of new positives on the number of swabs made since yesterday is 2.6%. There are three deaths: a 97-year-old woman from the province of Reggio Emilia, an 82-year-old resident man in the province of Modena and an 87-year-old woman from the province of Bologna. In total, there have been 13,315 deaths in the region since the beginning of the epidemic. There are 47 patients admitted to intensive care (stable compared to yesterday), 376 those in the other Covid departments (+8). On the territory, patients admitted to intensive care are distributed as follows: 2 in Piacenza (unchanged compared to yesterday), 2 in Parma (-1), 2 in Reggio Emilia (-1), 10 in Modena (unchanged), 11 in Bologna (unchanged), 2 in Imola (unchanged), 9 in Ferrara (+1), 2 in Cesena (unchanged), 7 in Rimini (+2). No hospitalization in Ravenna (where yesterday there was one) and Forlì.The situation of infections in the provinces sees Rimini with 97 new cases. Then Bologna and Modena (both with 95 cases) and then Reggio Emilia (67). Followed by Ravenna (48), Parma (46), Ferrara (44), Forlì (28), Imola (23) and Cesena (22), then Piacenza (11). These are the data – ascertained at 12 noon today on the basis of institutional requests – relating to the progress of the epidemic in the region. In the last 24 hours, 9,174 molecular swabs were performed, for a total of 5,409,541. In addition, there are also 12,647 rapid swabs. As for the total number of people healed, they are 302 more than yesterday and reach 378,111. The active cases, that is the actual patients, to date are 13,658 (+271 compared to yesterday). Of these, people in isolation at home, i.e. those with mild symptoms who do not require hospital treatment or are symptom-free, total 13,235 (+263), 96.9% of the total active cases. anti-Covid, extended to all citizens over 12 years of age. At 3 pm a total of 5,573,275 doses were administered; out of the total, 2,547,854 people have completed the vaccination cycle.
