Rome, Piper kidnapped for 350 thousand euros

A Piper worth about 350,000 euros was seized by the financiers of the provincial command of Rome at the Roma Urbe airport, at the disposal of the investigating judge of the Milan Court in the context of investigations directed by the Milan Public Prosecutor’s Office. The provision constitutes the epilogue of the investigations carried out by the yellow flames of the Ciampino company which, during the monitoring of air transits at the third airport of the capital, became suspicious at the sight of the aircraft, formally owned by an American trustee based in Delaware but in the availability of an Italian amateur sports association. The investigations confirmed that the vehicle, which bears US identification codes, had been permanently present in Italy for more than six months and, therefore, imported in evasion of customs duties and VAT. A person will have to answer for the crime of customs smuggling.
