Covid today Emilia-Romagna, 1,241 infections and 2 deaths: bulletin 4 September

There are 1,241 new infections today, 4 September 2022, in Emilia-Romagna out of a total of 7,054 swabs performed in the last 24 hours, of which 2,672 are molecular and 4,382 rapid antigen tests. The bulletin of the Region reports it. Overall, the percentage of new positives on the number of tampons made is 17.6%. The patients currently admitted to intensive care are 30 (+1 compared to yesterday, + 3.4%), the average age is 64.5 years. As for the patients hospitalized in the other Covid departments, they are 809 (-8 compared to yesterday, -1%), average age 75.5 years. There are 2 deaths. In the area, patients admitted to intensive care are distributed as follows: 1 in Piacenza (unchanged compared to yesterday) 2 in Parma (unchanged); 1 in Reggio Emilia (unchanged); 5 in Modena (+1); 10 in Bologna (unchanged); 2 in Imola (unchanged); 4 in Ferrara (-1); 3 in Ravenna (+1); 1 in Forlì (unchanged); 1 in Cesena (unchanged). No hospitalization in Rimini (like yesterday). The average age of the new positives today is 49.3 years. The contagion situation in the provinces sees Bologna with 181 new cases (out of a total of 374,126 from the beginning of the epidemic), followed by Reggio Emilia (173 out of 206,560) and Ravenna (153 out of 172,580); then Modena (140 out of 278,455), Parma (127 out of 154,194), Rimini (114 out of 171,985), Ferrara (101 out of 130,971) and Forlì (96 out of 84,629); then Cesena (62 out of 102,866), Piacenza (59 out of 94,012) and, finally, the Imola district with 35 new positive cases out of a total of 56,854 since the beginning of the pandemic. The active cases, that is the actual patients, are 21,722 (-1,061). Of these, people in isolation at home, or those with mild symptoms that do not require hospital treatment or are symptom-free, are a total of 20,883 (-1,054), 96.1% of the total number of active cases. These are the data – ascertained at 12 noon today on the basis of institutional requests – relating to the trend of the epidemic in the region. A total of 2,300 more people recovered and reached 1,787,605. Unfortunately, there are 2 deaths: 1 in the province of Modena (an 80-year-old woman), 1 in Ferrara (an 83-year-old man). There are no deaths in the provinces of Piacenza, Parma, Reggio Emilia, Bologna, Ravenna, Forlì-Cesena, Rimini and in the Imola district. In total, there have been 17,905 deaths in the region since the beginning of the epidemic.
