Carabinieri, agents of the Mobile Squads of the Cosenza and Catanzaro Police Headquarters, and of the Central Operational Service of Rome, the Financiers of the Provincial Command of Cosenza, of the Currency Police Unit of Reggio Calabria, with the Gico of the Provincial Command of Catanzaro and the Scico of Rome, with the coordination of the Catanzaro District Anti-Mafia Directorate, implemented the precautionary order, issued by the investigating judge of Catanzaro, against 202 suspects. The accusations, for various reasons, are ‘Ndrangheta-type association, criminal association aimed at drug trafficking, aggravated by mafia methods and purposes, criminal association aimed at committing crimes relating to the illicit organization of gaming activities – also gambling – and betting, money laundering, self-laundering and fraudulent transfer of assets and values, and other crimes, also aggravated by mafia methods and purposes. At the same time, the financiers of the Gico of the Provincial Command of Catanzaro and the Scico of Rome, are carrying out the urgent preventive seizure ordered by the prosecutor, which must be subjected to the scrutiny of the investigating judge, of real estate, companies, companies, registered movable property, attributable to numerous suspects, for an estimated value of over 72 million euros.
